Default Corvette Challenges

Guys,
Where are all of these Corvette Challenges taking place? It looks like there are some good classes and people showing up. I was wanting to travel some next season and might try to make some.
Thanks,

There are two full series in action right now.

The original and still going strong is at Raceway Park in Englishtown, New Jersey. I maintain a website for this series and you will find our full series history there, articles, standings, pictures links to videos so much stuff it will take you a month to read it all. We run four different classes, brackets, 11.50 index, 10/10.50 double index and Pro 8 Shootout which is now an 8.50 index. We run 11 times a year and have one race open only to our top 16 points racers. See more at
www.corvettechallenge.info

The other is in Florida at Palm Beach International Raceway. they do not have their own site right now but are part of a group of "Challenges" that feature a Corvette Challenge, Mustang Challenge, GM Challenge and I think Import and also Late model hemi.

Over the years however, we have had volunteers all over the country set up and run and participate in Corvette Challenges. California, Florida, Virginia, Illinois, South Carolina, Wisconsin and I know I am forgetting someone...sorry.

We have done one National in some years but last year we could not get it together and this year, well we are going to be talking about that possibility soon.

Wow, that alot of info. I didn't know it was that big! I will look at your site and check it out. Since they've closed Memphis Motorsports Park here, there won't be a LSX shootout or any of those events locally now. I'll have to look at the map, too and see how far everything is from here. I know Orlando is about 13 hours since I'm driving to PRI in a week or so from now.
Thanks again for the info.

Speaking of that, does anyone know if a new site been established for the Shootout yet?
I've heard that Gateway International in the St. Louis area is being considered.
Is there still a chance that Memphis will be reopened and the regular schedule revived?

So far locally, there are rumors floating around that there is someone making an offer on the facility. I've heard that they stopped removing the track vehicles and support equipment as it was part of the offer.

Marc you have heard the same as I and that is that St. Louis was on the list of tracks to look at to replaced the NMCA race, no necessarily the LSX Shootout but it is a fair assuption. NMCA has announced their first race officially which is Bradenton Mar 19-21 but the rest of the schedule hangs in the balance. They announced it casue Bradenton already shows it on their schedule...

As for MMP reopening, I think the biggest hint it might see action again is that NHRA cancelled the date on their scehdule rather than creating a replacement venue that weekend. That leaves that weekend open if they could get MMP reopened. As for NMCA, they do not have that luxury, if they are staying 7 dates they have to replace the date.

ON that note, I would think we have the schdule next week in line with the PRI show.
