Farley you quoted total purse per class...as good as you are, I don't think you can place in all four positions so just count on winner money (unless I am running same class LOL)
If you follow the links one of the pages says rules are forthcoming so we have to wait a little to see what they are and see if the dreaded deep staging is allowed.
As for the demise of Pinks All Out...I see zero correlation for these two events. Pinks all out is one class picked at random for $18,000 in cash and prizes. This unleashed thing is like 11 classes and many for smaller payouts, in fact non as rich as Rich's (pun). I think this competes more with the street car series out there like NMCA (though not really as they don't do heads up index) and NHRA itself, Cecil Street Car Shootout and others that mix "pro" and "sportsman" type racing. As for TV time, I would expect that will go to the quicker classes and average joe index classes will get zero coverage or just winner passes. Very different from Pinks All Out where all 16 drivers get cameras in their cars and a half hour at least of coverage with another half hour going to other non-16 drivers. Rich still has that Niche
With that said, you guys from up norht want to start thinking about Columbus, I might be up for it.
John - I'll do Atlanta with you! Let me know. If a few of the NE guys are really going to Columbus I would consider coming north to run National Trails. I don't think I have run a NHRA event since there was a Modified Class.
This sounds great!
It may be the demise of Pinks all out though?
I don't think so, Robert...first off, they have not set a car count limit so everyone who wants in can run...second, the odds of getting picked to run on Pinks are like a lottery ticket...this deal you will run no matter what...
I think the NHRA wants a piece of the TV pie that Pinks has...this show will be on a different channel at a different time I am sure..I'm guessing the duece...seems like the NHRA saw the cutback on the Super Chevy Show and the popularity of pinks and jumped in...
Anyway, when the time comes let's get a bunch of locals and caravan up to Gainesville together...

Slideshow: A Jaguar designer's personal project imagines what a modern front-engined Corvette might look like if Chevrolet revisited the golden age of the Stingray.
