OK friends, i';ve been here for about 4 hours so far and here's my assessment: facility is about 9 or a 10 outa 10. But the service is a f*cken zero!!!!!!!!!!!!
The pickup they arranged at the airport was an f'n disgrace, then they dropped us at the wrong end of the place, and my wife and I had to slep our shi$t about 600 yards to the other end, and no one offered help. The resaurrants were booked for the entire week; and we had to accept either too early or too late for dinner. The beach is a short F'n plane ride away and the nearest restautrant is about 5 f'n miles away. Tried to change my meal plan to save the mileage, but apparently that is not possible. Beers are $8 and i'm about $200 into beers and i've only been here for about 4 f'n hours. I hope this gets better.

Yo Ralph,, You gotta KNOW the ropes at Atlantis..
Upgrade to the Gormet plan..
Then GO to each restaurant & make a re$ervation in person
w/ the Matire D.. Slide him a $20 spot & you're in..
Lots of walking... Don't go to restaurants off the premisis, in fact don't go off the property at all!
Do the Leap of Faith at the pool.. haha..
Tell me how that is!
Oh yea, get your chairs at 5-6 AM or there won't be any!
But this is not high season, so it might not be too bad!
Where are you at, Coral Towers? Royal Towers?

The only time I came close to going to Atlantis was when I was on a cruise (Royal Caribbean) and we docked in the Bahamas for the day. A few friends from the crew I was traveling with (it was actually a sales conference that the company I was working for at the time took us on) decided to take the cab ride over there but I was enjoying the food and the service on the ship so much that I stayed on board instead.
Kind of glad that I did now LOL.

Out of all the islands I've been to, Nassau had the worst service hands down.

Ralph mucho importanda $10 to the Matire D but make sure you ask him if he will be workin' tom nite tip your waiter a couple bucks BEFORE he serves you then approiate tip after leave days change quarters dimes ect., on dresser w/note f/cleaning person WORD gets around fast who the nice tippers are and they royally kiss your *** very import. you tip at very start of vacation and tip everybody don't have to be much.They will be tripping over each other to do for you as vacation winds down so does tipping.Last timein Nassau they sat us in the celerbety section with a couple of NY KNICKS...LAST TIME IN CANCUN FRIENDS HAD RESERVATIONS IN THE MOST POPOULAR/HOTTEST REST.NITECLUB HAD SINGING GROUP 5TH DEMINSION ,WE HAD NO RESERVATION (NITE BEFORE MATIRE D TEN BUCKS) HE SPOTTED ME TALKIN TO MY FRIENDS BEHIND VELVET ROPE HE MOTIONED TO ME TO COME OVER HE LIFTED THE VELVET ROPE AND PUT US IN A TABLE IN FRONT OF STAGE...TRICK IS TO TIP BEFORE...HAVE FUN ...WISH I WAS THERE....PS this works unbelievable on a cruise

The last time I was at the Atlantis, that new tower was not even under construction yet & I had a great time!
We did the meal plan & it was GREAT! Every bill was over $300 for TWO!
The restaurants were great then, as was the service.
I hear these days it's retarded crowded AND expensive...
Hang in there Ralph & keep drinking! lol

Ok....i might have been a bit cranky yesterday after traveling 9 1/2 hours to get here with only a bag of chips to eat......then getting dicked around trying to check-in and get something to eat.
Anyway to place is nice. The heavily stocked aqarium is second to none. It winds it's way around the whole factility which is tremendous. Found a place to eat nearby that was OK. Yoel, I have the casual dinning plan, but had booked two upgrades. When i got here they told me i couldn't do that even tho they knew it said that on the net and i'd have to forefiet my meal plan if i wanted to upgrade.....wtf is that? Then they ran out of Hieneken at the bar so i started drinking some local beer called Kalik. Then they ran out of that on tap and i had to go to the bottle......then they ran out of that and i was on cans....wtf?
So i'll upgrade the facility to a 10+ and the sevice to "Motel 6"
Gotta run and catch a flight to the beach......lol. If Yoel is rgiht about having to claim a space by 6am, i'm screwed.

Nah, I do believe that he's jokin' around and merely trying to drive home the point of just how far the walk to the beach is from the sleeping quarters LOL.
