Default C4 DRM brackets ?

Asked this over in C4 Tech and got no response.Have PM'ed randy @DRM but waiting for reply

I have my DRM brackets installed and about to get alignment.
Do the brackets correct things enough to maintain tire contact through travel good enough with stock susp settings or is there a better camber setting to achieve this?
Setting up for a track day so have no concerns as to tire wear ; only looking for optimum contact patch
Have bumps stop to limit travel keeping half shafts level under load at launch.

Hey Rodj. I used to have the brackets on my C4 when I had the IRS. By "track days", do you mean the strip of a road course. If you meant the strip, set the camber to zero. The brackets will decrease the amount of camber change, even if the car squats an inch or so. You'll have pretty much full contact when the car launches. I can't help you with a road course since I can't turn.

Thanks
Straight line only
I thought maybe some might have had the wheels leaning out static so camber came back to zero on launch

They help a lot for drag racing. Normally when the rear squats, the negative camber of the rear wheels increases and the contact area is concentrated on the inside half of the tires. With the bracket the strutrods are closer to parallel to the halfshaft and the camber change is minimized.

Probably could try a quarter of a degree and see what happends. Just watch the wear on your slicks as they accumulate runs.

Strangely for a car with a non optimum drag suspension ( hard Z51 ) my '87 has always hooked good even with the old ZZ4 camed TPI; 1.8 60's
But because the bum goes down on launch ,I only had the inner 4" of the tire making contact with the strip at launch.
Hoping the brackets and the bump stops to limit travel ( stop halfshafts going past level ,stressing the uni's ) will get me a better tire footprint now I have 400 RWHP

My 84 used to do that when I was running the irs, but the brackets did help. Maybe some +camber is a good idea.
