Default Drag Questions!

Ok I Have the Following:
2007 LS2 M6
STOCK Rims(The Main Problem)
Toyo R888(Front) T1R(Rear)
220/230 Cam
A&A V-2 Supercharger Kit
LGM Longtube Headers
Corsa X-Tream mufflers
Hurst Short Shifter
610RWHP 536RWTQ

So here is the question, I want to know a good rim choice to put on the rear at the track. I want some pretty decent sized meaty tires. Also how do I get around the TPMS? Can it be defeated by going into Comp mode, or by holding the button? Also With the mods I have will there be any drive train issuses due to increased grip? I have drag raced the crar several times before but now I want to see what it can really do when it hooks!

Any help will be grand! Thanks!

Hi John
I presume your going to run at Fontana. I don't see a roll bar in your car? If you don't have one, don't bother with the tires. The first time you run faster than 11.50 they will ban you from running. If you have the roll bar, look into some ccw wheels, and some large M/T ET streets. That should put you into the 10's. Just watch out for broken shafts if you haven't upgraded.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info Mike. You think a carbonfiber shaft? Is the stock rear ok?

I think he actually means the shafts (output shafts) in the rear, not the driveshaft (which is located inside of the torque tube and available in carbon fiber as you'd mentioned). There are no carbon fiber output shafts as far as I know.
Yes the stock rear is ok for stock/near stock power levels or even for regular street driving at your power level but you will likely need to upgrade to some more 'hardened' internals if you're going to be drag racing it on stickier tires.

Output shafts, not drive shaft. You might want to get a DTE brace for the differential also.

Spicer offroad U joints are a good upgrade since you likely don't have a drive shaft loop ! A wayward driveshaft can cause a lot of dammage !

Don't think its required with a torque tube?
