Starting line would be my fault for not reading the track correctly.
That may be the reason why I may or may not have won a particular race?
You were having more trouble with it than I was.

On the other hand, if the starting line is going away, it would be nice if the track threw down a little more glue?
My car would hook all day, then all of a sudden, in the later rounds (as the starting line deteriorated) I would not hook at all.
Not a progressive drop off like one would expect.
I know better now.

Again, it's the racers fault for not reading it correctly.
Of course this is not a problem for cars that don't hit the tires as hard.

, and maybe an eye doctor for not seeing the track properly
I would prefer they never prep the track in front of me again.
This week I snapped the output shaft in the rear directly after they prep-ed and that brought back a memory of snapping the trans output shaft a couple years ago directly after a starting line prep.

The problem is not the track, its actually the street tire cars tearing up the starting line.
There really isn't much RP can do about that.
They should just prep MY lane, one or two cars before I make a pass.

6400 rpm launch at the LSXshootout had nothing at all to do with it.

& thought I'd post my thoughts...Ya know my car is soooo slow I don't know if I'm permitted to post in this thread
... if they (any track) puts down a lot of traction compound my car is about .02 slower...
the front tires just stick to the track.. EXACT same thing happened to me when I used to run my 19.90 1989 Honda Civic... But there was one BIG DIFFERENCE I used to win with the Honda... I remember Javier (sp) had a rule made in my honer.. "No Bucks or Point Racer" was allowed to race in the "Import" race.. that rule lasted only for about 4 or 5 races... I don't remember if it was Eddie Krawiec or Paul who over ruled him...

Now I'm lucky to find the lanes for round #2
Thats how I look driving out the "Farley Escape Route" that he uses when his infamous "Slide" don't work, & the little yellow "Win" light goes on in the other lane...Hell speaking of win lights I forgot what it looks like.. I have already applied at the "Senior Citizen Center" for a pair of crutches to help me through these last two races to hang on for the "Top 16"
Here I am trying to make the top 16
& thinking I can go 4 rounds vs the "BEST" in the CC...Mackey can tell you how one Fri night I won Gamblers and never had to run it out... 2 RED vs me, one guy was .370 (even I was better) and I went RED in the final vs a 10 sec Mustang, thought for sure I lost and just let off the gas.. well he broke an axle and crossed the center line about 20' off the start line...
Dayum....when its your day.. its your day... so I'm gonna need two RED's and one racer to sneeze as the tree is on the way down to stand a chance... but FIRST I gotta hang in for 2 more races...
PS to Redgar....At the dinner does the # 16 win anything
maybe an ATTABOY that can be framed..Hell the only way people will remember me is because I'm sitting at the same table as "Da Champ" .... RALPH
I can see it now "look theres Ralph, boy he wins a sh#t load of races and has been CHAMP more than some people have round wins.... then they will say who is that "Old Bastid" sitting with him... ??? Didn't he used to be a racer many years ago??
Yea.... that's the old guy "jpee"...... him, Mackey, & Dennis taught Redgar how to race on a 95 6 speed on Fri Nights... Thats when Ol Redgar was GREEN and his ET would be anything from 13.40 to 13.90 .....But "Da Kid" came a long way.. I can only say I'm lucky I cant afford to race in the "FAST" classes..
If I don't finish in the top 16... you guys might be looking at a better looking driver in a Blue C6
next year...
