Default Rear wheel?

I have a A6, C6 with an E Force around 650rwp and 570 rwtq I am currently running NTO5R on stock 19 wheels. I ran a. 10.34 with a 1.58 60ft. I had a half tank of gas and the rear tires were way out of balance. I think I was spinning the wheel in the tire. Any way the question is would I pick up any ET going to a smaller wheel and slick? Also I am on stock trans, converter and rear gears. I am not wanting to change converter or gears. The car is only three months old and I have over six thousand miles on it. With that being said what could I do if anything to help get to the 9s without killing the daily driving?

Going down to 18s or better yet, 17s, for some more sidewall might definitely help you, if you are actually spinning that is. I would stick with drag radials for now though, especially with a stock converter (not hitting the tires as hard as an aftermarket stall).
Another benefit is the lower gearing you might pick up by going with the shorter tire (more sidewall generally means 'taller' but an inner diameter that's an inch or two smaller often helps get it back).
Your car is running pretty damn good.

I've had awesome results running a 275/40/17 Hoosier drag radial on a C5 Z06 front rim. My best ever 60ft was a 1.425 but I regularly cut 1.46's while only launching at around 1300RPM.

Will the 17 inch fit on the C6 front? Will the brakes be in the way?

Yes, the C5 Z06 front 17" wheel (be it OEM or even aftermarket) will fit on the back of any C6/C6 Z06, with stock brakes at least.
It's the other C5 front 17s (17x8.5) that you have to look out for though, those generally will not clear on the back of a C6 Z06.

Yes, 19x10 on a 79mm offset.
It will be difficult to find an exact aftermarket fitment in the offset without going some high dollar custom wheels but you can get them pretty close.
