Default 2011 unleashed schedule "tease"

I did a copy and paste from the NHRA UNLEASSHED home page. I hope they post the dates soon so I can make my schedule. I hope that it will not conflict with the NMCA LSX Series.

The schedule won't be "official" until we send out a press release, but here is some long awaited information. I have six tracks committed to hosting an event this year. I am still working on a seventh and final event in the Western U.S. We will be going to South Georgia Motorsports Park (GA), Tulsa Raceway Park (OK), No Problem Raceway Park (LA), Cordova Dragway Park (IL), Milan Dragway (MI), and Lebanon Valley Dragway (NY). These are all great NHRA member tracks that are excited to have the opportunity to host an Unleashed event. They will all enthusiastically welcome the racers of NHRA Unleashed, and I KNOW that you will support them in force.

The classes that we will be featuring for 2011 will be Outlaw 10.5, Limited Street, X275 Radial, 8.50 Index, 9.0 Index, 10.0 Index, 11.0 Index, 12.0 Index, and 13.0 Index. The 2011 NHRA Unleashed Rules will be released soon. There will be some changes in the Outlaw 10.5, and Limited Street classes to accommodate more cars. The X275 Radial class will be added, and the index classes will be updated to the 2011 NHRA Rulebook. Unfortunately, we had to drop the Pro Mod, EZ Street, and 9.50 class in order to shorten the program for the host tracks, but the X275 Radial class should fill a void for some. So that's what I have so far. I'll give you the dates in the official announcement. I still want a track out west, and hopefully, I can lock that in this week. As promised, we are growing the Unleashed Series. Now, we need all of you to continue to spread the word. Thanks for what you have already done, and let's make sure that 2011 is a good year!

I'd love to go to the Lebanon Valley race.

I hope they get it all straightened out for this year.

(holy crap - that's a long drive)

I was lookin' at LVD for the 12.0 index as well but it's pretty far even for me and I'm like an hour+ closer to it than you are.
Gotta be sure that the dates don't conflict as well.

Kind of a "bummer" of a schedule for me with only one event in the SE near me and nothing in the upper south or the eastern mid-west. The Georgia Motorsports Park facility is a great track. I think it is one of only two or three tracks in the US that is 100% concrete, lot of paved pit areas, long shut-down, good roadway entrance off I-75 and a good selection of hotels and restaurants about 10/12 miles away in Valdosta, GA. Good place to race with good people. I was hoping that an UnLeashed event would be held in VA or MD or maybe in KY or TN in 2011 so I could get to two of them but it looks like LA and No Problem Raceway is the next closest to me and that a "fur piece"!

Default NHRA Unleashed Index Classes

Looks like they eliminated the 9.00 Index not the 9.50. With their locations it looks like we will only make the South Georgia race. We will put everything against the NMCA Open Comp series.

I would like to try the SGMP deal but the index's don't fit me...I run 11.30's...slowing down to 12 is too much and speeding up a full 3/10's is too much...fooey!...
