Tire Growth
I am contemplating running another 26 which will actually be 26 to 26.3 or a 27. Car is a non Z51 LS2 with 4.10's in the rear. Redline is set at 7100. I've done the gear ratio calculator and the if I get the tire that measures 26.3 before tire growth it will give me 135mph in the 1/4. That should be enough since I plan to do 133-134. I called MT and they say their bias ply at that mph will probably grow 1-1.25". Say it grows to 27.3 that will put me at 141mph which is plenty. I want to have a buffer on the mph so I'm hitting the rev limiter when going through the traps since I don't want to raise it. Would you go with a 26 and hope it grows enough for the extra mph or would you go with the 27 to be safe?
Thanks,
Andrew
