NC area track?

NC area track?
Hi, I've only recently acquired my 79 vette and was looking for a possible drag strip in the Charlotte, NC or Raleigh, NC area to go and see what she can do. I'm not looking to do this competitively (famous last words :jester ) but was wondering if y'all might be able to give me some suggestions. Thanks in advance.

There aren't any very close to Raleigh.

thanks for the leads there. sorry, but i don't think i could make it up to NJ and back for a weekend :jester but thanks for the offer. i'll see what i can do w/ one of the tracks around here.

There is a really nice 1/4 mile track in Fayetteville- www.fayettevillemotorsports.com There is also a an 1/8 mile track in Beson. Both have test and tune sessions on Thursdays. Fay starts ~ 7, Benson starts sooner I think at like 5 or 6 maybe. Check the Souteast section as we usually make it down to Fay pretty often and we'd love for u to go with us!

They are running test and tune on Thursay nights, 6:00 til 10:00.
You can run the full 1/4 mile for test and tune.
There's not many people coming out yet, right now you don't have to wait in line at all!!!!!!!!!!!!
$15 gets you in the gate.
There is 110 octane at the Texaco just up from the strip on hwy 70.
Remember the helmet!!!!!!
