Rule question - Fire Jacket
So, I got sidelined at the local 1/8th mile track for not having a fire jacket. Thing is my times were 7.6x / 98mph. Checking NHRA and IHRA it seems like I should only have to have a jacket under 7.35 ET, or over 135 in the 1/4. So, are they looking at my trap speed in the 1/8th and guessing, or am I missing something?

Are you using nitrous or have an aftermarket supercharger or turbocharger by any chance?
If so it doesn't matter what ET you're running, you HAVE TO have a fire jacket even if you're only running 9s in the 1/8th.
Or maybe it's just that 98+mph in the 1/8th that flagged you.
