Default patch an ET Street?

I cut a tire and Les Schwab says they cant repair it. They tried, but a patch wouldn't stick to the inside. I don't think you can plug them. I'd hate to throw out an otherwise good tire. I read something about doing a hot patch. Anyone know how to do it, or who does it? Other ideas?

Unfortunately I think most will agree that they can't be plugged/patched. Among part of the problems with plugging them is that during the burnout they get real hot and then at some point while going down the track that hot plug could stick to the ground and pull out causing immediate tire deflation and potential disaster.
But me being me, I'd probably still try it LOL.

I switched to tubes for that reason, small puncture in a new tire & it's ruined.

Downside - you must screw your rims so there's no chance of tire spinning on rim.

Plus side - you never lose air pressure with a tube, set it once & your done.

I remember reading, CCW's are not tube friendly, might want to check that out.

Yeah tubes don't seem like the best option with CCW wheels. I found this old thread and thought maybe I had a chance to repair it. I'm not finding much else...

I think CCW don't place the valve stem in a good spot for tubes.

If that is the case, I guess that hole could be closed up and drill another tube friendly hole.

I read the same thing. I've been thinking about trying the ET Street radials in 315/45/16. I guess now's my chance.
