What kind of luck have you guys/gals had with using one?
I'm doing about 2.1 60', 8.9 8th, 13.8 1/4 on Yokahoma 520's.
Yes I know....not the best tires for this...but that's what came on the wheels when I bought them. I'll go with a better tire when these wear out for sure.
Re: Differences with a Fuel Pressure Regulator (Jimi Lane)
I have no experiance as yet, but I will be playing with fuel pump pressure on my tow vehicle in the next few weeks. You may increase HP by lowering or raising your fuel pressure depending if your current set-up is overly rich or too lean. On my tow truck (injected 460 Ford) I found an extensive article done by a Four Wheel Drive magazine back in 1999. They made numerous changes to a tow vehicle that were all external changes...one experiment was with fuel pressure. They varied pressure between 36 PSI and 46 PSI in 1 lb. increments and found the optimum HP/Torque occured at 41 PSI, which was 2.5 pounds less than the factory setting. There percentage of increase was 2.8 % HP and 2.7 % torque over the factory setting. Your ideal fuel pressure will vary by what other changes you have made to your engine. Have fun experimenting! Deen
