Default Oh Yeah!!!! #1

Oir last qualifier had 83 cars. I came out on top. I swinging and kicking to be there. My 11.518 sealed the deal for 1st round bye. It is 10pm and we are waiting for 1st round. Many oil downs and one accident. We were informed that there three classes that need to run before us. Needless to say we are hanging out having a blast.

CONGRATS Rob, that is fantastic Although, with that many cars, I am surprised that .018 over is #1. As you know, that normally wouldn't even be #1 at our local races. None the less, congrats and best of luck.

Ran round 1 at 12:15am. I was .150 on the tree. The other person was a 13.00 index car. I should have went second. When my tree flashed, I was confused and then left. The tower put his car number in wrong. I went a 11.73. If I stayed in it, I would have went 11.502. I thought I would have the set up to be on, so if I had to run it out. We have second round at 9:30 am. Get a few hours sleep and do it all over again.

I was wondering what was up with that.
You guys were the very last cars to run, guess everyone was tired.
I don't think he even finished the run? They ought to let him back in.

Yeah that was a rough one, I only got 3 hours sleep on Saturday night (less than 5 hours on Thursday & Friday nights) so I was TIRED on Sunday morning.
I've heard of "sleeping at the tree" but I didn't think it meant literally falling asleep while waiting in the staging lanes LOL (I actually didn't sleep at tree LOL, went .08 red instead on the way to a 12.993 (13.00 index)).
Next year I go straight back to the hotel after the last pass of the night LOL.
