Default How much can it handle?

stock 2001 z06 trans and rear with 725-750 rwhp.....going for a 9.9x on friday. i have a set of MT et radials, which I know are not ideal for sticks.

i will not launch on the spray, run about 20 psi in the tires, activate in second gear....looking for a high 1.5x 60 ft.

will it break?

I asked my tuner that question. I can tell you it was enough to get me in trouble.

Not likely, if it and the clutch are in perfect working order at the moment and you have some skills then it should hold.
Of course it might not remain in perfect working order after a few passes.

As long as I can get it home. :-)

I think I found a trailer I can borrow. I may trailer it, lol.

You should be fine.
The trans can hold. Be quick and deliberate.
The launch needs to be smooth. You want the tires to spin coming out and you can still cut a high 1.5x.
I would shoot for a 1.6-1.7x because you have the power. That should be doable. Getting the car to hold down track and on the 1-2 might be more difficult.

Thanks for the advice. I will probably leave around 3500 and fast slip the clutch which I figure will turn into a 1.6x and I don't powershift it, actually shift a little more deliberately. The 01 Z28 I had 15 years ago I could bang pretty fast with no qualms....

Anyways, I agree, I am also concerned about traction in 2nd....

Another option is to spray right after the 1-2 but then you'll need a stronger 60'. let us know and get video so we can help if necessary.

Ok, I am going to have the GF "try" to work the DSLR video (manual focus, lol) and get something.

It won't spray until I am full throttle after the shift. I lift for the shift so it won't be spraying through any shifts....

Wow, you had a 2001 Camaro in 1996?!
I had to wait all the way until late 1999 to get my 2000 Z28!
I think I know what you'd meant though.
