2012 drag week....
Leave the gold chains and pleather vette jackets with matching shoes at the house and lets hit the road. The "vettes" get dissed by the "hardcore" crowd but if we have some good representation we can show them that the corvette is one of...if not the best "street" cars around.

Whats the deal ??
Distance to far ?? The entire trip is like 1325 miles...not including traveling to the starting spot.
Scared to break on the trip ??
Yours is really a trailer queen ??
Or something else ??
Sounds fun to me.....getting to cruise with some of the fastest street cars in the counrty and run my car at the best tracks in the mid/south....guys like Larry Larson....
There is a daily driver class that would be perfect for built n/a vettes. A 10.80 bump with five passes at each track and the best total average wins the deal. This will be in several magazines and winning a certain class will be almost a guarantee mag coverage.
I guess I maybe one of the only ones this appeals to on this board......but I'm a "street" guy at heart....I feel its the real roots of the hotrod culture.
As I said in the original post....time to put up or.....well you guys know what time it is.
My own vette is still "down" but will be at the track in March......working the bugs out and working on my 60'. But I will deff be ready by September for this trip. I cant decide to just run it n/a at the event or spray it all out and just have fun ??......Either way....its going to be a blast.
Thanks.......and just fyi.....you dont have to be the fastest to have a good time.
Bottom line is just like most other "Streetcar" events, to be competitive here, you need to have a purpose built piece.
