Hard to believe after 3 in July they didn't give us 4 in August...

I signed up for points, but doubt I'll make a lot of races with that horrible schedule! I already see two races in the start I won't be making due to being on call. I don't see what the big deal is with trying to even out the schedule just a little little.

Dave, give me the details for wed. Is there a car count? How much is it? I will try to make some but I play ball on wed.

First off, the track has been there for us. They have always made room for us on the schedule. Every r here will be people complaining about the schedule. People complain about the schedule at every track. The track has a few dates that are at the same time as my NMCA events. BUT, I will try and make as many CC events as possible. I am exploring different avenues in 2012. I am sure after 2012 I will have burnt myself out.
My point is, look at the schedule, the track has many events going on. The track has cut one day out of there schedule (Friday). I raced the 10.00 Index on Friday night. Do I like the idea of the Index classes moved to Sunday? NOPE. But, for the best interest of the track ($$$$$) they did this. It could be worse, this could be a mom and pop track that is only 1/8th mile with no classes and just time shots every time they are open.
As I said a few posts before, the schedule interferes with three events for me. So, if I drop two - I am looking good as long as I do well.

I think most of you need to look at the overall picture here.

I have a lot on my plate, I am trying to get a RC track up and running at RP for 2012 on Sunday. This will mean after I race the CC, I would need to go over to the RC trap and prep it for Sunday. I will also miss my Top Street and 10.00 Index. Sucks for me, but this is what I decided to do.

My point is, I think everyone should make some adjustments in there personal life for the CC. The schedule is out so there is no excuse about not knowing or what ever else you can think of.

Last comment: Get your Vettes ready for 2012. Come out to the Pre season party and have some fun at Thrust Performance. Redirect your anger on the track and go rounds.

Can you remind me/us of the date / time for this festivity?

- I assume the location is Thrust at 928 route 9 south, South Amboy, NJ 08879

I will probably sign up for points, I doubt I will make more than 2 events this year if any at all. The schedule is a grind.....4 weekends in a row to start. 3 weekends in July ? It just seems like the schedule follows no logic and they placed the CC where ever there was an opening. I realize that the CC is not the only thing going at the track but come on. There was a fall off in car count last year and complaints to that effect. In my opinion this schedule is not going to increase car count, it will further diminish it. When your hobby / sport becomes more like a second job all the fun goes out of it. Just my honest opinion. Flame Suit on.

$50 entry fee. I am not sure what the car count requirement is to ensure the $500 payout. Last year they had a difficult time getting a lot of cars to enter. However, I think this year will be better since there is not Friday night racing.

You have to remember that Etown decides the schedule, not any outside person, now or in the past.

There will be ZERO rain or heat out dates this year, if it rains, we lose the race day. Every other weekend is booked with larger events, and there will not be double headers again.

Simple fact here is that RP cannot stay open with the proceeds of just the CC, they need the bigger venues to pay for all that property. The tough mudder competition brings in more revenue then probably all the CC's combined in one seasons event, tough to turn that away as the owners of the race track. It's just a shame that both events cannot happen at the same time, it's not like they are playing "he man" down the drag strip.

Wow, even with all of those months left after the season's final race (in only August) there is still no chance/no room for even just one make up race? Damn.

Doug speaketh the truth. Our little $30 entry fee times 60 racers per Saturday probably doesn't even cover the staff's salaries for the day. Never mind all of the other overhead of running the track....

I am just thankful that I still have a place to race and even better it is only 15 minutes from my house. So you won't hear any bitching from me

Maybe I was not clear enough..RP does the points not us. My comment was directed to that end. Without more information forthcoming (meaning we are still waiting on a reply) from them we can't give any better points information.

I will try to sign up for points this year but no garauntee's. I will try to be racing sundays also but with full time work, full time school, and full time fundraising, I cannot commit to anything. I know for sure I have to work every other weekend, so the first few races are out for me.

I have been to so many tracks along the east coast and Etown is one of the biggest, has great seats, not some wooden splinter giving seats that you are scared to walk up, has bathrooms that are always clean, has good food, friendly staff, and more importantly, they have become like family to most of us. I wish there was more we could do to help keep them open longer but whoever said the CC event prob doesn't even cover the salaries for the day is right.

I hope the CC keeps going and Etown stays open for a long time.

I know some of our racers are not happy with our 2012 ECSCC schedule. But unfortunately these are the days Raceway Park has given us. So we need to work with these dates, make the best of it, and continue to support our ECSCC race series.

That was directly from Wayne Paul, so unless something got cancelled or moved, thats the way it is this year.
