I'm looking at grabbing a built 700r4 to go with my engine.

383 around 500 hp and will be adding 250 shot nitrous.

Now, if it was a dedicated drag car, I'd probably grab a powerglide or a th400, but since it will see the drag strip a few times each year, the overdrive of the 700r4 is tempting.

Who uses the 700r4 and what power are you putting through it?

**EDIT**
I also plan on grabbing a Carroll's Rod and Racecraft solid rear for it next year.

I had run a 700r4 for years. For the past 6 years, I have been running a 4l60e. It's much easier to dial in shift points with a computer. Very reliable unit. 406 cubes, 10.36@139.

Hmm, what's the racer's choice between a TH400 or Powerglide?
