Engine builder did the tune on the dyno. using LMP 114.
I know the plugs will need to be cooler, but " pocket book " keeps asking if spending $400 on a dyno tune has any relevance if the carb. is flowed by a professional.
The carb. is going to Justus Daniel in Charlotte, NC .
He has been doing these a while, and has good credentials.
Also, Eric at http://www.horsepowerinnovations.com/concrete/ This guy help me out when I built my engine, I purchased one of his carbs and he has been great to work with over the phone.
Some serious racers over there. Hard to beat $4/gal for 117 octane. I like the fact that it burns clean. If you take a motor apart thats been burning ethanol its amazing how little carbon you find. Oil in the crankcase does not turn black either.

My research convinced me. Place in Minnesota advertising $2.25 a gallon... called and they confirmed!!!
Already bought 220 gallons from fellow in Indianapolis. Right at $4.00 per. That really shakes out to $5.00 considering consumption differences and another $1.50 for the freight. Still 60% of LMP 114.
Cooler charge, cooler motor, a little paranoia about milking up oil, but not a big worry.
Seems the price is a spot thing as well. I think we are going to start buying on price. Unopened containers have a very long shelf life!!!
If its a drag race only car, you need an oil pan heater. Takes a long time to get oil hot enough to evaporate contamination. I street drive mine daily and to the track so its not an issue. Fact is I'm not racing much at all, last 2 years. Did go to T&T last Friday night and beat on it though.

Road racing ... Sorry,..
Road Race forum guys don't talk to C4 drivers much.. we are tolerated... like stupid children at the family reunions.
Kidding ... [ I hope ] , just not many "Hands On" guys there. Sort of like talking to Porsche guys???
Don't think that will be an issue?? Things get HOT and stay hot for hours.. hardly time to cool off on a track day.
Still trying to find out what I don't know yet that is going to bite us!!!
You may be a trailblazer. Some C6 guys are dabbling in the ethanol thing also. At least they were. I dont hang out in the C6 forums so its been a while since I even looked there.
