please share ideas.....
Looking for different ideas (quick, stable, easy) to access the clutch in my C5 in the pits.....
So please post what has worked for you.
But it does seem the standard is frame jackpad....jacked on a single side. Looks sketchy....at best...lol
Thanks......
.
But may be the best overall idea and meets the (quick, stable, easy) statement I made.....
I just hate the idea of trailering it....
. She is a street car...
Thank you for the idea Hot Wheels.....
.
I gave up changing tires at the track a few years ago - trailering is my preference. I have a place my kids can hang out if it's too hot/cold and can even watch a DVD or listen to the XM while I'm in the staging lane. And when going to some places like MIR when there's a better than average chance of breaking, I know I can get it back. One time a friends had broke at MIR and I've loaned my truck and trailer to him and he was able to make it back home...
thanks ......
I just thought that with all the cars that see track duty, someone would have it down to a science. With out dragging jack stands and ramps to the track...etc...etc. And without trailering it...LOL
Just looking for the most (kiss) method at the track. Because 90% of the time it will be what ever I can fit in the trunk...lol.
BECAUSE IT IS A STREET CAR....LOL
But if getting access to the bellhousing is needed....sounds like I better trailer it....

FN trailer queens....LOL.
Thanks............
Do all you trailer queens park in the same area ??.......

Just looking to minimize cruise time in the pits looking fo ya.....

Thanks for the info guys.....

Runs 7's.....

This is how they do it on drag week.....

Thanks for the reply.
Thats a good question.....and I should have the car and myself figured out by late fall.
Been racing for quit a few years....but only recently stepped into the late model vette scene (sold my '66 Chevy II to persue this vette deal). Matter of fact its my first time piloting a manual down the track. And I really enjoy the challenge.
But as far as facts are concerned......I can only give you data on the car.......the "drivers" data is still a work in progress. I've made about a dozen passes on the "new" clutch and it is a blast !! Just trial and error things.....launch rpm, staggered shift points, tire pressure, shock adjustments, keeping momentum on shifts and this is on the motor"only" runs. I still have some "juice" to play with...but have no intentions of going down that road until my n/a goals are relized.
Thanks......

We are close in HP from what I can tell so when you get closer to your N/A goals (what are you shooting for?) in the fall, I'd love to meet up with you at MIR (or someplace) and line them up!

You do have the advantage being a stick and all

We could do the N/A and or juice ... I'm hoping my spray will be working for this weekends East Coast Supercharging Corvette Challenge.
- just cannot run the 10.50 N/A with a 346 in the heat and I'm definitely with ya with the "work in progress".
You're still a stock bottom, no?
Do you have the car in the 10's yet?
