As fast as it should be?
Last Friday, I went to the track and bested a 14.0XX @ 101.XXXmph. I noticed that a few singatures and posts mentioned 101mph putting out mid 13 sec runs. Any ideas on the difference between theirs and mine?
It was in the high 80s before sundown, I set tire pressure @ 35psi. and had 1gal of 110 octane race gas on top of about 3gals. of fuel. Engine temp was in the 180-190 range. 60' times were around 2.1.
Thanks for the help. I guess I'd better get ready to buy a helmet.

Two totally different motor concepts, two totally different power bands. TPI motors have you in 60 foot times, but you have the upper hand come 1/8 mile, in horsepower. Get the sixty foot times down with either gears or a mild torque convertor, and your car will love the flash into its power band. Good luck

60' down to 2.0x is definitely doable and will bring you to the 13.s.
Lower the PSI on the rear to about 25 and do a little burnout to help with traction.
If you are stick shift car you want to try and focus on shifting quicker. A4 car you will benefit form a higer stall TC but with out it you should be able to get to 13.7 or so.

I'm definitly no expert on the LT1, but I would think on a good run your car should easily get into the 13s......just takes a little practice

I ran a 14.00 at 100.67 with a 2.309 60', with my girlfriend in the car and stupid muffler elims. So I agree u should be in the 13s.
