Nothing is changed... they take the intake manifold off, & grind, & file all the intake ports to fit exactly to the heads.. they also file off any rough edges in the passage way and smooth all the runners, to allow a smoother flow of the mixed fuel & air to the pistons...

So they suspect the driveshaft rubber couplers? I'd like to see pics of the bad ones.
Didn't really sound like they had them out yet.
can't imagine that you would smell the TC clutch burning, it's bathed in ATF. And enclosed. But better safe than sorry.

They gave me a pass... said I had enough experience to run 10.0..

But it looks like I wont be running anything until next yr.

The flex plats looked good, the rubber pucks that fit around the drive-shaft looks like they have been rubbing on the torque tube... also Julio is sending the converter back to have it looked over by FTI...they are in Fl. and I'm not going to pay for air shipment, so it looks like 2-3 weeks until I get the converter back ..

If everything is good the last thing is the transmission ughhhhhh... I'll have to take out a 2nd mortgage to pay for that...

I had an odd vibration in my car that I never felt on the track. I felt it only in the street under moderate acceleration.

I replaced both axles and it went away...

Good luck with your car John.

Really? The half shafts fixed it?

Yep.

Now remember, I had 157,000 miles on them when I swapped them. Tommy D'Carguy told me it could be a cause for my vibration and he was right.

82K on mine.
I guess it's a hard vib to describe and could be caused by a number of things.
I'm thinking I'll just let whatever it is break, then I'll know for sure.......

Before you rip the trans apart, remove your sex toys from the car and see if the vibration goes away. One may have rolled under the driver's seat.

I'm so old even if I hook it up to 110 volts I still wouldn't get a "charge" out it it

If you ever get close to Cartek would you please stop by and see how it coming along... ???
