Default So close to 11s yet so far

Went back to Atco tonight to get an 11 second slip. 11s were just a tease on this night.

12.012 @ 118 MPH 1.911 60'
12.020 @ 118 MPH 1.888 60'

She can do it, but I couldn't launch well enough. I suck.

She'll, hopefully, be sold soon anyway. I tried.

In case anyone is wondering...2006 with Vararam, Kooks LTs & catted x-pipe, Corsa Sport axle-back & tune. 384 WHP 387 WTQ.

It's ALL in your sixty foot, your car is clearly capable of 1.7x sixty foots (which is an 11.8x or low 11.9x ET all day long in this air) as it sits, it's just up to you to extract it.

1.7 on the stock converter? I don't see that happening.

Its all in the converter!! I am an (A4) with the same mods as you "Vararam, Kooks, 160 T.Stat, & with the stock converter my 60' were 1.90 (best ever 1.883)

I went to Cartek & had a 2800 FTI Converter installed, and next time out I ran ....

11.756

11.751

11.742

All 3 runs were 117 mph.. I had a slight vibration, so its back at Cartek, and I am planning on a 3000 converter.. I "DON'T" want to go higher than that because I'll have to get MT drag radials ($400) I'm using Nitto 555 size 305/35x18" an its hooking great... even on a marginal track...

I don't want to push my luck by going to a 3600 converter... also I "THINK" after I get the intake ported, and have it re-tuned I might see 11.5 in good air...

It's not common but it can be done with the other mods you have...I believe my best short time on the stock converter (6L80/A6 just like yours) was a 1.78 and that was still with stock exhaust manifolds/H-pipe and all.
Even just cutting a low 1.8x (not that hard to do at Atco in November/December) would get you right into the 11.9s at roughly 119mph.
