2005 c6, need drag slicks and have questions
well i have a 05 c6 making 530rwhp. will be making 600-650rwhp by next sumer. i am running on 325/30/19 rear tires. needless to say i cant launch without spinning. oh yea, i have a built 4l60E transmission good to 750rwhp with a 3200 stall converter from presision engineering. My fastest 1/4 mile time is 11.55 spinning all the way threw first. anyway, I need drag radials. I was told that a 17" wheel will fit without brake conversions. My suspension is the Z51 package. I also heard that the front c5 z06 wheel is perfictcause it is a 17x12 wheel. Is that correct. I tried searchingthis question but found no info really. Any low price solutions for wheels would be awsome. thanks for helping.

I have an 05 also its an (A4) I have a 2800 converter, and am making app 420 RWHP
I have 18" rear wheels off an 04 they are the thin spoke and almost match my front... the 04 rear wheels are 18" x 9.5 wide..
I use Nitto 555 size 305/35x18" my 60' times are always around 1.63 - 1.65 my ET is 11.70's @ 117 mph
I am getting by with these tires & I drive 100 miles to & from the track...

Sweet. My goal is to get 17's so I can really launch. My absolute 60' is 1.99. I would like to pull off a 1.5xx 60'. The front c5z wheels are 17x10.5? Will they fit ok on the rear of a c6? Anyone has done it?

I have done well with them and yes, i would recommend front skinny's, they are less drag, weigh less ...
I sold mine but they can be found occasionally in the C-5 parts section if you don't have the funds to go new.

C5 Z06 fronts are 17 x 9.5
A 275/40/17 DR is a perfect fit.
I bought mine from a C6 owner.
That said, if your track always has excellentprep, use the DR for best ET.
If the track is marginal, an ET street bias tire will work better.
