Default First Edgar then Chris now me....96 for sale

I'm selling my 96, many of you know the car, i'm not going to list all it has in this post. I'm asking $15,000 for the car and I will deliver east of the Mississippi river at no charge.

Any question call me 615-739-7335.

John

damn, I hate to see you are also "getting out" of racing..I know you are taking a beating on your car, I was there while you were having it built... you must have 5x the asking price in it...

I hate to see everybody retiring up there. Will you guys be able to keep the Corvette challenge going. I know things ain't like they used to be but it would be sad to see the corvette challenge go down.

If everybody could just stick together like a team hopefully everybody benefits. We lost ours down here it's just not like it used to be.

I (personally) don't think there will be a CC in 2013 at E Town and with the way things are going, I honestly don't know if I'll join to be in the points, as that would "OBLIGATE" me to make all the races, and last years schedule was "pizz poor" ..

We had the first 6 races in the first 2 months, then nothing for June, July, & Aug. ( well maybe 1 race was thrown in there)..

Speaking only for myself, I WILL race in all the CC races (if they RP) has a CC on the schedual....

But by not being in the points, if I have a conflict the CC and some family thing, I won't feel so guilty about missing a race...

(Again my thoughts) if RP don't get a sponsor there will be no or a very small payout at the end of the yr...

I'm wondering if and if so what kind of payout there will be at a CC race next yr ???

$100 to win
$50 for RU ????

I can drive to Lebanon Vally (EXACT SAME DISTANCE) as RP but there are NO TOLLS (its $16 to me round trip to RP) also there is NEVER any traffic on the Taconic State Pkwy, and NO TOLLS..

If I run Pro they (Lebanon Vally) pays $40 to 3 round loser.. and they only have 4 classes

Super Pro (electronics permitted)
Pro (No Electronics)
Trophy (only $28 to enter) but no payout
and Motorcycle

I very rarely see the dreaded Import that oils the track from start to the 660'

Food is $2.50 for a fresh cheeseburger (E Town is $6.50 for one that has been on the warmer for 30 min) kind of dry tasting to say the least..

All that being said I am NOT going to jump to conclusions, and will wait until RP comes out with a schedule, and see what a normal Sat. of racing will be....

I got to race Lebanon Valley at the bracket finals this year...nice little track. Lots of space, good prep and nice people. The only problem I had was that sharp left turn to access the return road. More than once I had to back up because I didn't swing wide enough from the left lane.

As for the sale, seems like another nice deal. I may know someone who is interested.

I've mentioned this in the past but, I remember one of my very first visits to E-town with my yellow '95 Corvette automatic back in roughly 2000 or 2001. I was curious about what some of the other C4 LT1s were running and 3 red C4s in particular caught my eye, Frank's (Mr Mojo), jpee's and yours, and the rest is Corvette drag racing history.
I hate to see ya sell it but just like Chris's Blueberry it is a FANTASTIC deal for a turnkey 9 second Corvette.

Sorry to see John have to give in on his car, such a deal. If my garage wasn't full I'd jump on it, worth every penny.

Good luck on the sale,
Dave

Bob T. has too many fiberglass cars at this time. As a matter of fact one is currently for sale.
