Default How Many Members Actually Track Their Vettes

I could not find a thread for this so I decided to create one. I was curious in knowing how many guys actually track their beautiful corvettes? I know I was against it, but once the new feeling wore off I finally caved in to my other friends, did it and had a blast! just curious to see how many other members actually use and test their sport cars like they were designed to do!

If you don't take your car to the track why not? I know my reasoning was for the beating it would take, and getting it dirty haha. But once I realized there's almost 400WHP wanting to be released, I had to at least give it a try.

Pretty much everyone in this section races their vettes (or other inferior car)

If you posted in the general section, you'd find a lot more owners that are afraid to get a little rubber on their precious sports car...

I was one at one time... Car shows, washing, waxing... then my buddy brought me to the track with him. I watched and the next week I brought my own car and ran it 3 times... I was hooked.

Taking a beautiful corvette and beating on it at the dragstrip is just not right.

What would you suggest I do with my C6 ??? Take it to car shows & sit in a folding chair and talk to all the "Old Men" about how I waxed it, & polished the valve covers

Yes I'd waited too before heading to the drag strip...less than 3 months after picking it up brand new from the dealership LOL.

Pic of a 10 second pass from last year:

I bought my A4 C5 last Aug for 2 reasons. Daily driver and weekend drag racing. My goal was to hit 11.40. So far it's gone 11.10. I hope to see a ten next year with more tuning and a drag pack.
Going to give auto cross and maybe even the road course a whirl as well.
Fun car!

Not as fast or glamorous as you guys but still clean enough to impress on the street/shows and NOT afraid to use my Corvette in her natural environment.

I auto-x it too.
