Default I ran 11.73 @ 117 mph in Nov.

I (Cartek) put in a 2800 converter in my car in Nov... but I had problems w/it from the first day...

I went to E town on 3 more different days and made 2 or 3 3 TT on each day.. "ALL" my runs were 11.73 - 11.76 in good air Shallow staged..

While Cartek sent my converter back to FTI to be either repaired or replaced, I had them remove and port the intake manifold..

My 60' time with the 2800 converter 1.63 - 1.66 (very consistent).

I'm wondering if the DR I use (Nitto 555) will hold a 3600 converter.. I only ask because I DON'T want to have to change tires & the 555's last a whole season.. + Its a 200 mile round trip weather I go to Leb. Valley, or E Town and that will kill my MT or other HI Po drag radial...

seeing as I ran 11.73 with the stock intake, does anyone think I can run the # (11.50) if I just port the intake, Throttle-body, remove a few Lb (Don't forget I'll have to DEEP stage to cut any kind of competitive light

Based on no knowledge of the subject my gut feeling is that picking up .3 (shallow to deep slows you down by about a tenth) from porting the intake is a lot to ask. And that is in good air.

How much are you going to pick up with the "fixed" converter?

Ball park removing 100lbs is good for another tenth.

jpee are you running the mixed index class at E-town? If not why bother. If you are and you don't have the money to go faster,Run 12.00,Adding weight to your car is easier then taking it out,Just my opinion and you know how that goes Now that I think about it,You have to run atleast 11.3x in the cool air.

I am confused. Do you have a new/fixed 2800 TC or a 3600 TC. If you still have the 2800 I don't think you will run the number and the Nitto's will work fine. If you now have a 3600 with the porting done you will run the number in good air but will miss on other days. Also with the 3600 TC your traction may be compromised with the Nittos. I think it will depend on track prep.

Unfortunately, no.
Especially between May and September.

As you may know, I (along with Cartek) have been directly involved in the piecing together/development of three separate bolt ons only C6 LS2 automatic '1/4 mile oriented' street cars (my own car among them). Two of those cars still occupy the top 2 spots on the Corvette Forum's C6 LS2 (and LS3 for that matter) naturally aspirated stock internals 1/4 mile list.
You of course know the importance of a good light. In order to be competitive in an 11.50 index class in a car like yours you're going to have to either go deep or 'time' the tree (and we all know how that goes) and of course deep staging robs precious ET.

TommyD's car (he's the curator/keeper of that above mentioned C6 1/4 mile list) is very similar to yours (2005 C6 automatic with 3.15 gears, it's even LeMans Blue ) and this is his mod list:

C6 Z06 exhaust manifolds/H-pipe/catback
FAST 92mm intake
Cold air intake
FTI 2800 stall converter
Cartek tuning
Cartek line lock
M/T 17" drag radials

His car has run a best of 11.36@121mph in good air in that form.
Last year we put on a set of skinnies and pulled the passenger seat.
11.17@123+mph in similar good air.
His exhaust system is overall slightly less efficient than yours but he of course has other mods that make his C6 one of the top 5 quickest bolt ons only LS2s in the world.
That should give you an idea of what you might need to do.

I know you don't like skinnies (I've taken 300-400 mile road trips on skinnies by the way).
I know you don't want to pull the passenger seat.
You'd need either a FAST 92mm intake, ported throttle body and underdrive pulley/balancer.
Or a cam.
Or a combination of some of the above to competitively run an 11.50 index year round on full size front wheels with both seats in.

Or, you can do NOTHING and just run the 12.00 index.

I think it will run 11.50's with the seat out but not 11.50 flat

In good air his car WILL get into the 11.5x range shallow staged with the passenger seat out.
But in my opinion, you need to be capable of running at the worst an 11.48 deep staged on every pass to even consider going anywhere among the regular Englishtown racing crew, these guys are GOOD.
