Thanks guys.
8 feet long, and almost 300 lbs. About an hour fighting. My hands are blistered and my arms are in pain.

I've got some of it on video. My buddy took it and is editing it down from 45 minutes.

Caught it about a half mile offshore from the Atlantis in Nassau.

A few years back I was there when they were having the sail-fishing tournament in Abacos, what a sight! I thought the sailfish were running in the April time-frame.

Are they good eating? I know we had one on line in Islamorada, much smaller and a shark came by and took the head and 1/2 of the body. The tail was floating and the capt. was scrambling to try to get close enough to the tail section to pick it up. It sank just before we got to it...

Congrats of the beautiful Fish, Pete!

You are really getting soft since you are not rowing the gears anymore.

Damn, in the first pic it didn't look quite that huge, that's a BIG fish!
Congrats on the nice catch Pete.

Thanks again guys.

Normally, it's catch and release of big game fish this this, but, this guy died during the fight.
