I thought about it this long >.< and decided NO.. I cant deal with watching an Import go down the track, and then have to wait 20 -30 min for the OIL CLEANUP..
Then watch 2 or 3 more pairs of car go down the track, and YUP..ANOTHER OILDOWN and its another 30 min cleanup, because those "Import" drivers, never pull over to the side when they break something, they just coast the FULL 1/4 Mile, & about 500 feet of Shutdown area!!
And with my luck, there will be scattered thunder showers, and right after they (RP) cleans up the oildown, 2 pairs will run & we'll get a 5 min rain shower...then we have ANOTHER 30 min drying time out...
I'm going to buy some nice ITALIAN Antipasto (cold cuts) and a nice bottle of RED WINE sit back eat, & watch NHRA on ESPN3 !!
Let us in on how today went ?? Did you race, did the Imports "Oil The Track" ??? Was it the "Normal" Import pandemonium???
How did YOU make out ... give us the scoop....
Jpee, there was a very low turn out for domestic street modified cars. I went to the semi final. Lost in the third round.....overall the car is running consistent but my lights are not, especially when I need them in the elimination rounds. The guy that won in the finals ran a 9.40 on 9.39 dial.
The other classes also had low car counts. No payout, just a trophy.
There were no major oil downs at all, actually Walter announce that after we made a time shot to just come and make as many as you wanted. I got 3 times in.
The were also running qualifying sessions for the imports today. I believe they were to have two sessions of qualifying and then thier finals tomorrow.
