Is it safe to shift with an automatic?
Some people say they shift through the 1, 2, 3 and then D gears to get a few hundred more RPMs....... is this safe to do with a automatic and would it hurt my engine? (I have a Buick Regal) :cheers:

It is pretty safe. The benefit is you control the shift point and can squeeze a little more of the power out.
Don't forget to shift and don't go into D, stat at 3.

If it has an engine, it's been "rodded". The more bizzare the set up the more the die hard will want to make it work. That's why I'm still screwing with a Crossfire. Those GN's and other turbo Buicks have been the reciepient of much attention. Enjoy your car!

Buick Regals are cool. :cool:
Especially the Turbo V6's with the intercoolers..... some are very very fast at the track.
To answer your questioin.... every set-up is different from the next... hit the dragstrip and figure out which way your set-up likes.
