Getting to the track
I am new to drag racing and am really wanting to get into it. With that said I am going to run my front 17" zo6 Speedlines out back with these tires:

(Mickey Thompson 3785R - Mickey Thompson ET Street Radial Drag Tires )
The car makes 440RWHP (o2 zo6).
My potential problem is that the two tracks closest to me are 1.5 - 2 hours away at freeway speeds. Can I drive to the track that far away with these? If not, what do others do when they don't have a trailor with all the equipment to change tires upon arrival?
Secondly, is there a better option given my situation for tires other than the M/T's?
Appreicate the feedback.
I race almost EVERY weekend and its exactly 103 miles ONE WAY to the track... & I'm using MT DR 305/35x18"
I drive to and from the track.. I just lower the air to 18 lb at the track, and put it back to 30 for the drive home..
Been doing that for over 10 yrs...with several different brands of DR tires..
Right now I'm staying w/ the MT !!

When you stay increasing the power and install an aftermarket clutch, radial tires may not be the best choice. Most stick shift racers move to a bias ply tire once they start really pushing the limits.
Best of success to you!

You should be good to drive on those to/from the track only that they'll wear faster than not driving on them to the track is all. Why not throw them in the rear along with a lug wrench and a jack & just swap wheels at the track? It WILL all fit easily and only take you 15-20 minutes to do the swap.
