Default drag tires

well guys third time at the track this year. this time the day was a little cool and the track was alittle green. absolutity no traction at all.
smoked the tires all the way thru the 1/8 mile. the car is an 06 with headers and high flow exhaust ,A-6 and and eforce. t/c on and hits the fuel shut off and wants to dance with it off. Normal run hi 11's on street tires. need to know what tires would be the best fore the track.

With HP you have you need a 17" tire with a larger sidewall (Drag Radial)

I ran 11.59 on MT 305/35x18" with a few bolt on's

Headers
2800 converter
Tune
Vararam CAI

My 60' was 1.63.. I just got a new 403 motor and will be testing it in Dec. & I'll most likely have to go to a better or larger tire...

I had the same issue last week. I posted on it here: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/drag...-traction.html

I didn't get a lot of tire feedback though.

I am thinking about getting another set of front wheels. My fronts are 18 by 9.5's. Then sending them to these guys to have them widened.

With a wide 18" rim I can choose from several of the Hoosier slicks. And my rear wheels will match my fronts.

I am guessing that you directed that to me.

There is a thread over here on tire and wheel size.

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-f...foot-time.html

WarBaby and I posted similar thoughts. He made his decision on his wheel and tire combo. I am still a little on the fence.

Since you appear to have hit the nine's with these cars I'd love to hear your feedback if you have time. It would be appreciated.
