I had planned to take my car to Atco this Fri for a T&T with Cartek being there.. however it has been called off do to weather..
My back up was to go to Englishtown this Sunday, the schedule says Import VS Modern Muscle..
I just want to make time shots to see where it is shifting at (RPM) etc.. but I looked at both the flier E Town sent out & their web site... Nothing is mentioned about just Time Trials..
I have never had this set up on the track & really didn't want to enter a race or be in competition not knowing if it will even hook up with the new motor..????
I suppose in the "worst case scenario" I'd HAVE to enter Modern Muscle vs Import.. I'd get 2 time shots, and at least 1 round of racing "IF" it hooks up
Anyone know if there will be the Time Trial lane... ???
The worst part is as everyone knows is any "IMPORT" race usually turns out to be a "Cluster ****" with every 3rd pair oiling down one of the lanes...
That's very true, they considerably more snow south of 195 than we did here. The further South, the more snow fell. Maryland got hit pretty hard as did Virginia. Sorry to hear the rental was called off.
Call 732-446-7800 and ask for Cheryl. She may be able to give you a better idea of the format for Sunday. I refuse to go there when they have imports.............. Well, except for the summer months when the hoochie mamas think it's too warm to wear clothes....
jpee did you drive the car around and make sure everything is ok before you drive all the way to e-town.I would run a few WOT runs up and down 684 a few times

Yes.. I did that, but it wont hook at all in 1st gear, I have to do a rolling start at about 40 mph or it will just spin...It shifted at 6200 from 2nd to 3rd.. all seemed well..
I wouldn't even bother going. First of all the track is green, no rubber, and second you are dealing with a whole bunch of car running street tires which doesn't help anything.
To me it would be a wasted trip. But if you do go, all the best. I don't run any more Import vs. Domestic events. Too many oil downs.

100% but I just want to see at what RPM its shifting at.. and be sure I'm not hitting the rev limiter...
Even if I spin on the line I should get some sort of idea by the mph...and my incremental times from 330 on to the finish...
I'll be happy to get only 2 time shots in just so I can tell Julio what its doing... I know Cartek is scheduled for another track rental at Atco in April.. BUT I will be "hopefully" racing it a few more times before then...
