Default Launch Technique Help Please

Hey guys..

1st time tracking my C5..

Details:

80 degrees, 1/4 tank of gas, all shifts were right at 6000rpm, I'm not powershifting though.. everything else in my sig.

60' are in the 2.35 range for all my runs..
ET ranged from 13.4 to 13.8 and around 106 mph..

Problem is I'm stuck between bogging at launch vs wheel spin. I'm open to trying any ideas to get my 60' and ET's down.

Any help?

Presuming you don't want to go to Drag Radials (that will solve the problem quickly), you just have to try different things to find you and your cars sweet spot. Varying the rpm is one thing, changing the way you release the clutch at the start is another. Some dump, some ease.

Be sure and lower the pressure to about 25 and then do a small burnout to get a little heat in the tires. Even with EMT's this has been proven help.

Some of the M6 drivers will be able to help you better than I though.
