I hate the weather report...solid 50% chance from morning till night...makes it tough for me to do the 3.5 hour tow.....sigh...I am hoping for a change but not counting on going at this point...

I just checked the hour by hour...very nasty...the chance of rain never goes below 80% from Noon until midnight...I am dying to race but those odds are silly with a 3.5 hour tow each way...

Summit series is just the typical bracket series that most all tracks run. NHRA/IHRA rules apply.
They're available online.

IHRA rules are followed for the summit super series...the IHRA rulebook is online for anyone to check out...there is a section devoted to the SSS...
You are required to join the IHRA and get a SSS number by a certain date to receive points from your track...as to the car set up, the IHRA only has two classes...Box and No Box...
Box is more commonly known as the electronics class...trans brakes, two steps and delay boxes are allowed...No Box allows trans brakes and two steps...there is no footbrake class but an awful lot of racers footbrake in the No Box class...truth is most of the track and division champs are footbraking...very little advantage to using the brake unless you simply prefer it...
Naturally, the safety equipment you need is based on your E.T. and mph...most IHRA tracks run their SSS at the 1/8 mile distance...some tracks have their own rules that supercede the IHRA as well...for instance, Palm Beach required an engine diaper or belly pan for cars quicker than 7.10 in the 1/8....the IHRA rule book does not require one until 6.50 as I recall...
Best bet is to check with the track you plan to run at and then hit the rule book...the Summit rules begin on page 60 of the rule book...again, the IHRA rule book PDF is free to download for anyone unlike a certain other sanctioning body....lol...

still working the bugs out and getting a feel for how it wants to be launched, but I am consistent 7.1/7.2 in the 1/8 and consistent 11.1/11.2 in the 1/4 on motor. Haven't even sprayed it yet. I am quite certain that once I get the bugs worked out and get a feel for how it wants to be launched, I will be consistent mid 6s in the 1/8th and mid 10s in the 1/4 on motor.
On the bottle, high 5s/low 6s in the 1/8 and low - mid 9s on the bottle.
Going to look to even see if my car meets the rules. I have watches some of the SSS here at my home track, have yet to see anything but a purpose built race car. But in all honesty, I wasn't overly impressed with their 1/8 times which is what got me thinking I might be able to be competitive.
