First off the car is a 2006 base ls2 402 on nitrous with rpm tr6060, zr1 diff and 15" conversion. Looking for some pointers on a good shock to run and how these cars launch without slipping the clutch.

What clutch and what tire?

Regardless, you're gonna want to slip the clutch somewhat...

Mt drag radials right now but I may buy a set of slicks as well. The clutch is a centerforce DYAD but I may change it since the car is apart.

How much are you looking to spray? At the hit? Or down track?

If you're looking at changing the clutch, the McLeod RXT and the RPS carbon twin have both proven to be very good clutches at the track.

Try a 26" bias ply tire. You're going to need all the gearing help you can get with the 3.42 diff.

Good luck with your goals.

Well I have 2 stages, 300 on the direct port and 150 on the plate. I have a progressive so I plan on spraying out of the hole and ramping it in. I honestly don't know what the cars going to run but I would be happy with low 10's even though 9's would be pretty awesome.

Well, damn, if you're spraying that much, the 3055S might be a better tire. It's a 28" stuff sidewall slick.

Okay cool, I may only spray one stage but that will still put me north of 800 rwhp. I guess I will be buying some skinnies to go with the slicks
