I've seen weight reduction lists on other forums, and since most if not all of us are will to go to such extremes such as removing carpeting, etc..I think it's time to start our own. :cheers:
replace manifolds with long tubes
!cats
lightweight exhaust system(ex. stingers or loudmouth)
!front sway bar
CCW or other race wheels
lightweight hood
lexan roof for coupe owners
!air pump
!passenger seat
lightweight brakes
!everything from storage compartments
go on a diet
smaller torque converter
racing seat
aftermarket crank pulley
lightweight battery
John is right. 125 LBS is about the maximum you can take off and still keep it a Corvette that can be entered in the stock class of car shows. Light weight wheels, no cats/race exhaust, no sway bar, no spare and racing with 1/4-1/2 tank will knock off 125 lbs. The lite weight wheels cut down your rolling resistance which really is like taking off another 60 LBS. Dropping your ET .2 and adding 2MPH is realistic with these reductions.
Mike, it still a Corvette and you can only make it so lite before it turns to junk.

I would like to still be able to show my car, I don't want to destroy it. But I'd also like to find out if there is anything I can do that I haven't thought of already, that won't noticeably take away from the car.
