Short and Sweet....
I raced the Winter Bash at Gainesville today...they gave us three time shots...I went 6.74, 6.73 and 6.77...the last one I may have been an inch too deep on staging...sigh...
I dialed 6.76 and lined up with a friend from Jax in his 68 Camaro...he is one tough customer and a pastor to boot...he was dialed 7.20 and I put 6.76 on mine...pure guess...
Turns out I got him at the tree with a 28 to his 76...funny part is he was .00X on every time shot...oh well...second round I get another Camaro dialed 6.89...I put 6.77 on my car based on the 330' from round one...
He left green and so did I...sadly, I spun almost immediately and it was over...my short time went from 1.47 to 1.51...330' went from 4.32 to 4.399...I ended up going 6.839 on my 6.76...sigh...
I was told they do not prep Gainesville that well and they were right...my big baloney's never spin as a rule...world class track and suck azz prep...sad...
Next up is a 5 grand to win at Savannah River dragway next Saturday and then three 5 granders at the new years nats on Dec. 29th at south Georgia...
