So, are there any drawbacks, other than $$, associated with running drag spindles on a C5Z that will see more street use than track? I'm currently running 18/19 Forgestars, but in a quest to fit a 26" bias drag tire. I'm not liking any of the 16" wheel options that seem to be available. 15" wheels will certainly open up a bunch of tire options to me. That, and I've acquired a set of 15" Race Star Dark Stars if I go this way.
Are these REALLY a bolt on, or are other mods....clearance issues to contend with? Grinding calipers, control arm, etc...?
There is some grinding to make 15" rim work depending on offset but it doesn't effect street use because the hubs and ball joints are oemish !!!! The brakes have to be z06 OEM
Yeah brakes have to be Non-Z, many use the GM Strange Fronts, but if you have them around or yours already have it the corvette base OEM brakes fit. as Gxpz06 said, depending on the wheel you install you may have to do some grinding on the lower control arm.

Wait... So you're saying that 15" wheels will NOT clear C5Z rear brakes? I was under the impression that C5 base and C5Z rear brake setups were the same...save the cooling ducts.
Oh, sorry on the c6 you for sure need non-Z / GS / ZR1 brakes. Not sure on the C5 to be honest. Quick look on http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/ will tell you for sure tho.
