Things went pretty well. It could have been better,... I could have gotten further than the second round...
Seriously, it went pretty well, most of us got three time runs in prior to eliminations(if you arrived early). It was pretty windy most of the day, temp wasn't bad...on the cool side, but the track was pretty busy...lots of waiting to run. I've got lots of pics, I'll post in a separate thread when I get a chance. Unfortunately, I only get pictures when I lose, or as I like to say, when I'm a 'non-winner':D . Sadly, I'm still striving for the event when I don't have any pics to post...because I will have busy racing to an overall win :D :D
Ok ok... I work nights, got home at about 6:30am, was planning on taking a 2-3 hour nap and heading out there to watch, but after that night of work I forgot it was today so I forgot to set my alarm.. :cry
Look forward to the pictures.
How off was everyones times today from normal? (Elevation kills about .5 seconds I am told, wondering how close that is...)
A great time. I learned alot(thanx BEACH BUM Todd!!!)
Didn't hook very well with crappy tires I had on.
So ya slept thru it huh? DOH! I slept like only 2 hours in 2 days in order to make it over there. Make the next one large on your radar screen :D

Re: LACR Today... (89 Paul in Cal)
Hi Matt - sorry you slept through this one. Working nights is VERY tough when having to get up in the mornings.
You are correct about the difference in e.t.'s between 2610 feet (and who knows what density altitude) and sea-level. My recent best at Carlsbad was a 12.03 and my best at LACR this weekend was a 12.66. A difference of 5 to 6 tenths is fairly typical.
Even more interesting was the fact that my 60 foots (1.80 - 1.90) at LACR were not as good as my last 60 foots at Carlsbad (1.73 - 1.82). Usually it is the other way around. I think the wind blew a LOT of desert dust onto the track this Saturday and several of us complained about the wheel-spin that resulted. Usually, I can hook better with the ET Streets.
Paul - glad you had a good time and that it was worth the three-hour drive from Santa Maria! to you for your great attitude. Hope your computer woes are fixed soon. :yesnod:
