Recently changed the gear in my 1980 Z28. Had a 3.08 and ran the 660 in 8.61.
Just dropped a 4.53 in it and wondering what I should expect for times now.
I bought a 1979 Z28 (equipped with 3.42 gears) new in late 1978, and by 1981, we had it running 14.30'-14.40's @ 97 MPH, with a 5,500 shift point, on the OEM 225/70R15 Uniroyals
in 1984, we swapped a set of 4.10's into the car, and with no other changes it rattled-off a string of 14.10's-14-flats (or 3 / 10ths in the quarter-mile), still at the same MPH
I would 'think', that with a switch from an even-lesser efficient 3.08, to the even-more performance oriented 4.53, IF you can maintain traction, you will easily run 8.20's, and possibly dip into the 8-teen range in the 1/8th mile
