Great news... now we need to put the word out to increase the car counts.

Thanks Doug and ECS and of course Atco

That's awesome Doug!! Great work!

Historically the bracket race always drew the most participants but I will race brackets and/or index. I am just glad to be racing again!!!

I am interested. I've never done this before. I think I understand bracket racing (you dial in your time and whomever gets closest wins). Not sure how Index racing works. Can someone explain?

Rather than you dialing your time and the tree leaving at separate times to accommodate the difference in times, You are both looking to run the index. 11.5, 10.0 or whatever that index may be. I personally prefer index racing, but the brackets always pulled more people in our Corvette challenge.

We hope to see you there, I think I speak for everyone when I say you can be as green at racing as can be and we will all be helpful with questions and getting you started. The Corvette challenge was very much a racing community/family there to help each other. Well until the tree falls then it's game on!

Doug was spot on. If you show up, there will be plenty of other Corvette racers willing to help out with any questions... I hope to see you out there.

I've been doing this for 18 years and I'm still in need of explanations on bracket racing. Its a never ending learning cycle.

That's about right Paul. I used to do etown in a little over 2 hours........was guessing Atco to be over 3. I hated 2, especially on the ride home, so 3 would be horrible.......at least on a regular basis. If something gets setup, I could see a couple of trips down there.

Agreed, three hours is long. I takes me 80 minutes to get there and that seems long...

try 3hrs going home to long island sitting in BQE/Crossbronx traffic and $80 in tolls to get to Etown. We did it for years!

Thanks,

doug said 4 out of 6 races will have a bracket class due to 2 of the days being heavily scheduled with other events. So the classes will be Bracket (4 out of 6) 8.50,10.0,11.50.
