Default Camshaft Selection Help 525hp crate engine...

To keep the story short..... I have been plagued with my plug and play 525 GM Crate engine and I want to pull my car back apart this winter and start all over,
I am looking for a better cam for my 525 GM Crate engine, I have ditched the "matched" GM computer system and went with the Terminator X.
3500Lb Car. 3.70 Gears, 4L80E trans with a 3200 stall convertor that I can get to 2800 rpm. Factory Cast manifolds.

I am not really to familiar with the LS3 engines and what works performance wise, just really unimpressed with the stuff I have. My 383 SBC that dyno'ed at just under 500 hp was a way better performing engine. I would like to keep this street drivable, but just an overall better driving experience.

This cam in it seems to be an Okay performer (way under powered than my 383) at WOT, but everywhere else it's just not that good, Been to some of the best Tuners, beat that horse to death. Way more civil with the TermX.

Anyone with some real world experience with what works well?

Thanks in advance...

Install some 1-7/8" long tubes or at least C6 Z06 manifolds and then take advantage of your location and have Pat G spec you a cam and also tune the car. I think if you do this the 383 will become a distant memory.
