New best time!!!!

My best previous time was an 11.98 @ 114. Since then I have rebuilt my transmission, gone from 3.73's to a 4.30 gear, and upgraded my stall from a 2800 to a 3600.

Here are my times from this weekend:

1st run
60' 1.587
660' ET 7.401
660' MPH 93.59
1320' ET 11.544
1320' MPH 119.11

run 2
60' 1.626
660' ET 7.409
660 MPH 93.80
1320' ET 11.562
1320' MPH 118.62

RUN 3 (BEST)
60' 1.590
660' ET 7.375
660' MPH 95.87
1320' ET 11.509
1320' MPH 119.66

RUN 4
I broke a half shaft u-joint!!!!!

I had an extra half shaft in my trailer, so I changed it at the track.

Run 5
60' 1.647
660'ET 7.467
660'MPH 93.78
1320' ET 11.600
1320' mph 119.21

I desperately need to do something with my suspension. When I launch, I am hitting the bump stops and bouncing, and it is unloading my suspension. I think that is why I broke the u-joint. I think that there is a little more there if I can get my suspension dialed in. If any of you guys have the part number for the HAL rear shocks let me know. Thanks.

Thanks. Well, I was hoping to break 11.4?, but I am not at all dissapointed. I need to buy a couple more half shafts, because I used my spare this weekend. The one that was in there is pretty mangled, so I will probably not be able to use it again.

Yeah usually when a half-shalf goes, it's destroyed. You seem to have made out alright, sometimes those things can do alot of damage when they break. I have lines drawn across my half-shafts so I can monitor if there is any twisting taking place. One other tell-tale sign of a half-shaft that is on the way out is if you're backing up and you hear a clunking noise.

I didn't actually break the half shaft, just the u-joint. I think that I will mark them before I run again. :seeya

Actually I'm running the puny 2.59s right now, but I'm picking up a set of 3.07s this weekend from Vic89 on the forum. Thanks for the offer though!

Thanks! I have ran 116 before in good weather before, but I will say that 1-2 mph was due to the cool weather.
