Default Tire Question

I am currently running a 315/35 GSC and my buddy has a set of 275/40 BFG drag radials that he will let me borrow when I go to the track. My questions is will borrowing those be worth my while? The last time I was at the track I pulled a couple of 1.8X's sixty foot times. Will the DR's help that time out?

Thanks :flag

On a basically stock car street tire vs drag radial will be very close to each other. Now if you pulled 1.8x with street tires you must not be basically stock or you got some really good traction.

What kind of MPH do you get?

Need more info on your car to come up with an answer but in most cases DR are much better :yesnod:

Yeah I left that vital info out.

My car is a 94 auto with a NOS 90 shot. I have the progressive controller set at 40% for 2 seconds, and still have to "press" the throttle down over about a 1-2 second time frame, instead of an instant slam to avoid a total smoke show. And the basic muffler eliminators, k&n, open air lid, and shift kit. And I have the smoking 2.59's!!!! My MPH is usually around 112-114, but have seen as high as 116 :flag
