I finally got back on the racetrack today....Bradenton Motorsports Park had a summit series bracket event today...I towed the 2 hours and 40 minutes over there and boy was it fun...long day since I was up at 4AM and just got home...it is midnight now...anyway, even though it is questionable whether the track was allowed to hold this event they did...over 250 racers showed up and there was not one incident of any kind...
I have been out of the seat for 10 weeks so the rust showed big time...I missed the tree on all three passes and went out in the second round...my car did a great job...the driver, not so much...lol...I sure need seat time...Orlando is rumored to be having an event on the 16th...I sure hope so but I am not holding my breath...
I will be heading up to Douglas, Ga. on Tuesday to pick up my new trailer...I will post a pic when I get it...kind of different than most...so in a nutshell, the first round saw me lined up with a nice S-Dime a friend owns...he dialed 6.21...I put 6.65 on mine since I went 6.64 on my only time shot...he red lit and I lifted but was going 6.63 based on the numbers...I had a sterling 56 light...yeah right...sigh...
Round two is called and I get a make believe hot rod....one of those plastic deals...he dialed 6.90 and I put 6.64 on mine... I completely screwed the pooch on this pass...first my burnout sucked...when I let go of the button I knew I was late and I was...a 72 light...he was 35 so it was over right there...to add insult to injury, I chunked on launch and could only run 6.70 out the back door...oh well...
I hope everyone is OK and please stay safe as best you can...
Hey Mac...yup, it sure was nice to climb back in the old hot rod...you will definitely see me at OSW as soon as they open for brackets...hope all is well with you and the family, buddy...btw, the event ran smoothly and the track was on kill thanks to their new track manager, Wade Rich...

Wade decided it was time to bust a move...he is from Bradenton so he has gone home so to speak...I hear he is very happy over there...I guess you have heard that Ozzy hired Jeff Miles to be general manager at Orlando...Jeff owned and ran Carolina Dragway, the house of hook, for 15 years...he and his sister sold it a couple of years ago...
