So far when I have been dragging I have driven in "D- mode" with the A4 and managed to do 13.13 with only open air filter and exhaust.
Now I have installed a 150 shot wet NX-system, cant use "D-mode" then, the gearbox shifts when lifting off BUT how the hell do you guys get good shifts when just "pushing" the gears one at the time. If you keep the pedal floored and changes just before the redline you hit the revlimiter and it is all poopie, if you lift the throttle when pushing in next gear you will get a real kick when hitting it again that causes wheelspin or you get two small kicks, one when the gear is in and one when you floor it again...
How do you guys run the A4 gearbox when running low 12 sec. times ???
I had a b&m prostick installed in my car so that I can bang through the gears without having to worry about missing a shift. This allows me to keep my foot on the gas through the whole pass. If your bouncing off the rev limiter, shift a little earlier and see if that helps. If your tires are breaking loose get some drag slicks. These will give you much better traction and where your safety is concerned I would highly recommend these. If you can't get the power to the ground it isn't doing you any good.
Good luck
