Hey guys! Like the title states. I just got the car back from HPA about 2 months ago, so I don't have a ton of seat time in it. This is also the fastest car and only rwd car that I've ever owned (I come from the VW world). Car makes about 600 to the wheels. It's a six speed 07 C6Z. Took it out this past weekend to an old air field and realized I've got no clue how to launch the car. Pulls hard on most once its in 3rd, but my launch and 2nd gear definitely need work. Has a twin disc Mcleod clutch. any videos or advice for a new guy out there? Thanks guys!
With above, what kind of tire is on the back. Twin disk clutch I find to launch at a lower rpm works better for me like mid 3k area. And slip it don’t just drop the clutch. It takes a lot of seat time but it is rewarding. Also launching at an air field with unprepped road vs drag strip totally different as well. Google ranger corvette launch technique, it’s a good read
So for some reason I'm not receiving notifications for replies, so I'm sorry for being late on this. Rear tires are a set of Cooper's 325/30/R19. So that will be my next upgrade for sure. And thanks for the link! Will definitely be using that info

Best of luck with those tires, but it’ll be a losing battle unless you’re over 80F ambient and have mad experience like Ranger. I have same setup (Cooper 325s in rear) and my experience was not good with low DA. You need all the stars and planets to align to grip the launch, and you’ll blow thru spinning the tires on the 1-2 shift. I’m at 450WHP 440WTQ. Really tricky to get below 2.2 60ft.
