I just needed 1/4" spacers for my 345's to fit. They stick out about an inch, though.
I'm still spinning too much in first gear, leaving from an idle.
I need more practice. I think I should be shifting into fifth gear before
the traps, too.

It's just the gears (4.10's). Probably nothing less than slicks will work.
I was doing a 3 or 4 second 2000 rpm burnout. Tire pressure was
32, than down to 28.
Sounds like you're suggesting I really heat these suckers.

2nd gear....4000rpms...5 seconds....17-19psi
by the way...my previous SS with a 3500 stall and 100 shot out of the hole managed 1.52 60 fts on 275 Nitto Drs with stock suspension. Trust me...you can get these to hook. Drop that pressure and burn baby burn
