I know this is an older thread, but I think I have something to contribute
I had to run an errand to Garlits' Museum today, as I had a pair of bricks placed over the Winter for 2 friends who are no-longer with us. I wanted to get some photos of their bricks, to send to their widows and family members.
As I was walking back to my Suburban, I was reading the names on many of the bricks. Some I've seen compete, some I'd known about, others I'd only read about . . . Wild Willie Borsch, Joe Pisano, etc.
About halfway back to my vehicle, I came across this

Whether we like it or not, Panuzzo was a legend. Thank you for sharing this post and thank you for sharing the photos.
I miss my good friend, especially at this time of year. I guess he was a member and DRAW. Cool to know that they sponsored a brick for him at the museum. A drag racer til the end!!!!
I never met John, but we sent several e-mails back-n-forth over the years, discussing bracket racing, and how to grow the Corvette Challenge Series nationally, 'back in the day'
Ralph, there are literally DOZENS of bricks at Garlits', sponsored by DRAW, that I have seen in my visits to the Museum
